4) Please make additional comments about the learning
outcomes and if they were achieved. |
(all results shown) |
| - Questions were not always clear, took a
couple of reads to understand what was expected. Good examples using
G&T - made it very clear using everyday examples.
| - Good exercises demonstrating the use of
operators in Google. |
5) How effective did you find the assessment exercises in

6) Please make additional comments about the assessment
exercises. |
(all results shown) |
| - Maybe not time for such a variety but
all good exercises for a slightly longer session.
| - The exercises etc were
interesting. |
7) What new skills have you learned, or might the target
audience have learned, which will be useful in practice? |
(all results shown) |
| - Greater understanding of the different
operators and when each should be used. I liked the illustrative
example of drinks - that helped make it really clear.
| - Using advanced search interface in
Google.
| - Using these operators in Google.
| - To read a Google results page
carefully.
| - Good comparison of advanced search and
entering keywords and operators in the search box.
| - More effective ways of searching Google
- and in general.
| - How to use advanced search in a simple
way - made it easy to understand.
| - Google advanced search. No need to use
and in Google search. Symbols: -
| - How to search Google more
effectively. |
8) How are you going to apply, or might the target audience
apply, this learning? |
(all results shown) |
| - Use the advanced search which I hadn't
used before. They will be able to reduce the number of irrelevant
results.
| - Could be useful for looking for journal
articles online.
| - Use Google for searches which have
drawn a blank elsewhere.
| - Better use of Google.
| - Use this guide and the way it was
applied.
| - Regularly when searching for
information.
| - To use/ encourage use of advanced
search to make searches more effective.
| - Advise users. |
9) Are there any other comments you would like to make about
the training? |
(all results shown) |
| - Examples used were excellent - very
good to make it clear but also get audience's attention.
| - Very useful and well planned session.
Excellent use of examples.
| - Arrangements should be made to enable
assessment to be returned if they don't have time in the session.
Good use of G&T example.
| - Interesting, good examples.
| - More time for worksheet and assessment
exercises.
| - Very useful
session. | |
